seems like my good travel karma has run out after a year of frequent traveling without a hitch. in the past few weeks i've missed a flight; had an airline company cancel another flight a booking (thanks for clearing that up, kim!) i thus had to rebook and repay; had two companies lose my luggage, which they luckily retrieved after a lot of agonizing hours for both me and them (let me tell you: losing a fashion journalist's luggage must be the nightmare of every airline's customer service) and i just generally had some horrible experiences at passport controls and visa offices. the only good thing that happens on every flight without fail, is the view. the take off above i filmed when leaving istanbul, so that's the city you see. the pictures were taken nearing and leaving geneva - i am a sucker for snowy aerial views.

het spannendste moment van de reis: gaat mijn bagage van die band rollen!heb al een handbagage trolley gekocht om de duurste stukken in te steken! maar inderdaad, nothing van beats the view
een airline die zelf een vlucht annuleert en jij die moet opdraaien voor de kosten? Dat heb ik nog nooit gehoord.. was het Ryanair?
Ik ben altijd zo ontzettend blij dat ik mijn koffer terug heb, altijd spannende momenten! Super dat het goed is afgelopen voor je.
