friends and boats

i've been spending so much time sorting through our pics from cali, i'd almost forget to share the incredible time we had last weekend on the lac d'annecy. we rented a boat with a group of friends, went waterskiing and wakeboarding (though not us - my fiancé was driving the boat and i stayed safely on board) and chilled in the sun. i felt very fortunate to be surrounded by good friends and feel like i was on a holiday for just a day. i can't wait to go back.

annecy is very pretty, and so conveniently close to geneva, but a little touristy for our taste. luckily we found a spot around the lake with less crowds and a beautiful sidewalk, where we could rent a boat. the lac d'annecy really is so much more beautiful than the lac leman - the landscape around it is breathtaking, and the water seems like it was lifted straight out of 'blue lagoon'. i'd definitely recommend spending a day here on your next road trip into france or towards geneva (in which case, come and say hi!)
