you know how when you create a certain distance between yourself and something, you learn to appreciate it more than ever? that's sort of what has been happening to me with belgium. for a while, it seemed only natural for me to look abroad for inspiration and talented people, and i loved sharing what i found right here on this blog. but spending more time abroad has made me look at things a little differently, and i finally seem ready to start shining a light on the many wonderful, creative belgian peeps i've had the pleasure of meeting or working with.
mous lamrabat certainly belongs in that category. though i've only worked with him once, i immediately took a liking to both him and his work. i love how he's able to combine a raw kind of sexiness and a softer, feminine vibe in one and the same picture. i've chosen a few of my favorite pics to show you - perhaps influenced just a little bit by my current state of wedding planning. but still, it's obvious to anyone this guy is going places, right?
