another one of the highlights of our stay in los angeles was our visit to the j. paul getty museum. we had some trouble locating the actual entrance, but it was well worth the trek. when it comes to location, architecture and view - the getty is without rival. i think we spent as much time gazing down the hills at the city's skyline as looking at herb ritts' portraits - both were pretty amazing sights.

Dammit, I'm torn between NYC and California for our next travel destination and your posts don't exactly make things easier for me. ;-)
The Getty Museum seems perfect for me, though!
i'm afraid i can't really make that into an easy decision, kelly :) to be honest - i will always be a new york girl at heart, but it was a nice change to venture out west. i would let it depend on the time of year you want to go: summer time is not as much fun in nyc as in cali - imo. and if you wanna go around christmas, nothing compares to nyc. i'm glad to answer any and all questions you might have about both destinations though :)
