when we think of los angeles it's mostly images of silverlake springing to mind. we loved the neighborhood for its quirky shops, cool coffee places and relaxed overall vibe. for foodies, especially, this is the place to be in l.a. we picked up some pretty incredible smoked salt at spice station and a few new bitters for our bar at barkeeper. i constantly needed to be reminded of the fact that we still had to be allowed back on the plan home, or i would have been out of control.
